Sensitive skin is skin with reduced tolerance to the application of cosmetics and personal care products. Sensitive skin can easily become red and irritated.

In addition, there are more superficial blood vessels than a normal skin type. The problem areas, the amount and the severity can vary but are usually found on the cheeks or around the nose.

Sensitive skin reacts more easily to different types of skin stressors (heat, cold, sun and dry air). The consumption of alcohol, coffee or smoking can worsen the condition.

With sensitive skin you should try to avoid products with fragrance, essential oils, high concentrations of active ingredients and other irritating or harsh ingredients. Always wear a sunscreen.
